ABOUT OUR MUFFINS

 

Muffin-spiration

The inspiration for our muffins has always been family.  They were created with family in mind and given my outspoken and fickle audience, many a breakfast and snack-time sampling sessions lead to either a smile and another bite or a drop-jaw and immediate muffin release.  If a second muffin was not demanded we knew we had tweaking to do and if a muffin was drop-jawed we started over.  Once family was on board, the whole village started chiming in, meaning our neighborhood community and school friends as well as office colleagues who have critiqued what comes out of every one of our tins. So with that, we’ve been able to test our muffins out on pretty much every taste bud type on the lot...babies who are new to the whole food thing, picky toddlers, older kids, babysitters, moms, dads, husbands, wives, grandmas...you get the picture.  

Having started this whole muffin experiment on my babies and husband, quality ingredients has been the most important factor in what goes into our muffins.  We use the highest quality ingredients we can find to make exceptionally healthy muffins that also taste great. The goal truly is to pack as much nutrition into each muffin while making sure they maintain deliciousness.  We hope your family enjoys our muffins as much as we have enjoyed the journey in bringing them to your table.

We have created our own unique gluten-free flour blend that keeps our muffins high in protein and fiber and low in carbs and sugar. Texture is another super important factor. We’re making muffins, not rocks or soggy mud pies, so we’ve really tried to get the texture right.

We use only organic ingredients, grass fed butter when it’s called for, organic, cage free eggs, and no refined sugars. We add absolutely zero preservatives and for that reason muffin shelf life is limited.

All muffins come in a bag of 6.

 

Recommended storage

We recommend storing your muffins in the freezer for up to a month if you don’t plan to eat them within a day or two of purchasing.  They can also be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
